APC members defy rain to affirm Abba Yusuf as 2027 guber candidate

Hundreds of thousands of the All Progressive Congress (APC) supporters defied the first rainfall in Kano, as they stormed Sani Abacha International Stadium, Kofar Mata, to witness the affirmation of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as the sole governorship candidate of the party in the 2027 general elections.

The gathering of APC stakeholders, delegates, youths and women was peaceful and orderly, as party supporters from across the 44 Local Government Areas, in one voice, affirmed Governor Yusuf as the APC governorship candidate in the forthcoming election circle.

The huge crowd were cheering and hailing Governor Yusuf even as the rain dropped, declaring their total support for his re-election bid in 2027.

Top government officials, members of the state and National Assembly graced the occasion, as those who spoke, affirmatively endorsed Governor Yusuf’s second term bid.

The state party chairman, Alhaji Haruna Doguwa, described the event as historic and a pointer that Governor Yusuf will emerge victorious in the 2027 governorship election in the state, going by the unprecedented crowd that attended the event, even under the rain.

Venue of the event, Sani Abacha stadium was full to the brim, as the streets leading to the stadium were also full of human traffic.

The sudden rainfall changed the atmosphere within the stadium which was previous enveloped with intense heat that have been tormenting residents of Kano in recent times.

All party delegates and stakeholders, in unison, affirmed Governor Yusuf as the sole governorship candidate of APC in the 2027 Kano governorship election.
