Pep Guardiola has bagged a new job after confirming he will step down from his managerial position at Manchester City at the end of the season.

The 55-year-old Spaniard recently confirmed that he will step down as City manager following Sunday’s final league clash against Aston Villa.

However, Guardiola’s relationship with Manchester City will not end there, as he is expected to take on a new position within the wider City Football Group (CFG).

According to an official announcement, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach will become a global ambassador for the City Football Group.

In the new role, Guardiola is expected to provide technical guidance and strategic support across the group’s network of clubs.

A statement released by Manchester City explained that, although Guardiola’s time as head coach is coming to an end, he will continue collaborating with CFG on various football-related projects and initiatives.

The club statement read: “Despite his departure as manager of Manchester City, Pep will continue his relationship with the City Football Group, by taking up a role as a global ambassador.

“The role will see him giving technical advice to the clubs in the group, working on specific projects and collaborations.”

The City Football Group oversees a global portfolio of clubs, with Manchester City at the centre of the organisation.

Other teams under the CFG umbrella include Girona, Palermo, New York City FC, Melbourne City FC, Bahia, Yokohama F. Marinos, Troyes, Lommel SK, Montevideo City Torque, and Shenzhen Peng City. Club Bolívar also maintains a partnership with the group.

CFG has steadily expanded its international presence since acquiring Manchester City, building one of the largest multi-club football networks in the world.
