A sitting Judge of Kano judicial division Federal High Court (FHC) Justice Mohammed Yunusa of the has passed on after a brief illness.
Justice Yunusa died at Kano State Medical Centre on Thursday, Director of Information of the FHC, Mrs Catherine-Oby Christopher, said in a statement.
In the statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, FHC further revealed that Justice Yunusa has been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
“Justice M. N. Yunusa was a distinguished jurist who served with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the administration of justice.”
The FHC said the deceased’s immense contributions to the Bench and the legal profession would be fondly remembered.
It said his contribution would also be greatly cherished by his colleagues, members of the outer Bar, court staff, and all who had the privilege of working with him.
“The Chief Judge, judges, management, and staff of the Federal High Court extend their heartfelt condolences to his immediate family.
“We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus,” it concluded.
