Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Rema has teamed up with Thai rapper LISA and Brazilian singer Anitta to release “Goals,” official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

FIFA announced the release of anthem in a statement on its X handle.

“@lalalalisa_m x @anitta x @heisrema will all take the stage for an unforgettable performance at the #FIFAWorldCup USA Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles @mStream the Goals Music Video now at the link in our story,” they wrote.

According to the football governing body, “Goals” is now available on major streaming platforms, adding that the song combines Afrobeats, K-pop and Latin pop influences to reflect the diversity and energy of the World Cup.

The anthem features upbeat lyrics centred on confidence, ambition, victory and celebration, while the artistes deliver verses inspired by global youth culture and football passion.

It captures unity, ambition and confidence, reflecting the World Cup’s global spirit, while using “scoring goals” as a metaphor for chasing dreams, overcoming challenges and achieving moments of success.

The multicultural single has completely swept global streaming charts, powered by international fan-organised streaming parties.

On Spottily, “Goals” immediately captured premier placement atop the New Music Friday Afrobeats, Hot Hits Nigeria, and Global Pulse playlists, driving massive traction.

The track became the most-searched new song on Shazam within hours of its release, surging significantly across markets in Southeast Asia, West Africa, and South America.

The official music video, which premiered on FIFA’s verified YouTube channel, clocked over 3 million views and crossed 400,000 likes in less than 24 hours, taking the top spot on the FIFA Sound World Cup playlist.

The Rema’s feat marks the third time a Nigerian artiste will feature in a FIFA World Cup song, following Davido and Burna Boy

Davido made history when he collaborated with singer Trinidad Cardona and Qatari Aisha on the song “Hayya Hayya (Better Together)” for the 2022 tournament in Qatar.

Burna Boy also featured on the 2026 FIFA World Cup song “Dai Dai,” alongside global pop star Shakira.

The tournament kicks off on June 11, with Mexico taking on South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City
