APC releases full list of Lagos reps, Assembly candidates

The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the candidates who won its primary elections for the House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The list was signed by Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi.

A total of 24 candidates won tickets to contest for seats in the House of Representatives, while 40 candidates emerged as candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Some of those who won House of Representatives tickets include:

James Abiodun Faleke – Ikeja

Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa – Agege

Babajimi Benson – Ikorodu

Muftau Egberongbe – Apapa

Moses Olanrewaju – Amuwo-Odofin

Adeyemi Alli – Mushin I

Moses Oluwatosin Fayinka – Mushin II

Fuad Kayode Laguda – Surulere I

Other winners include Lanre Okunnola (Surulere II), Fuad Atanda-Lawal (Eti-Osa), Bello Monsuru Oloyede (Oshodi-Isolo II), Kolade David Alabi (Somolu), Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo (Ifako-Ijaiye), and Bolaji Kayode Robert (Ojo).

In Lagos Island constituencies, Dolapo Badru and Kayode Moshood Akiolu also secured tickets.

For Alimosho, Olabisi Adebanjo emerged as the APC candidate and was the only woman among the 24 House of Representatives candidates.

For the Lagos State House of Assembly, notable winners include:

Mojisola Meranda – Apapa I

Musibau Lawal – Apapa II

Barakat Bakare-Odunuga – Surulere I

Damilola Ayinde-Marshall – Surulere II

Oluwagbemiga Abiola – Agege I

Gbolahan Yishawu – Eti-Osa II

Mayowa Alakija – Oshodi-Isolo II

Toyin Gafar – Ikorodu I

Moshood Aro – Ikorodu II

The release of the list comes as political activities increase within Lagos APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

Party leaders had earlier promised a transparent process and warned members against violence and anti-party activities during the primaries.

The emergence of Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa for the House of Representatives is expected to attract attention because of his influence in Lagos politics and the state legislature.
