The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has felicitated Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Kabir celebration, urging them to continue supporting the reform programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Yilwatda described Eid el-Kabir as a sacred festival symbolising faith, sacrifice, obedience, love and devotion to Almighty Allah.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, the APC chairman said the celebration remains one of the most important events in Islam, reflecting the virtues of selflessness, compassion, tolerance, unity and complete submission to the will of God as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.

According to him, the lessons of sacrifice, patience and perseverance associated with the festival are particularly important at this critical stage of Nigeria’s development.

He stressed that collective responsibility and shared commitment were necessary to build a stronger, more united and prosperous nation.

Yilwatda called on Nigerians, especially members of the Muslim Ummah, to continue promoting peaceful coexistence, national unity and harmony across religious, ethnic and political divides.

He noted that the Sallah celebration should further strengthen the spirit of brotherhood, love and mutual understanding among citizens.

The APC chairman also appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting President Tinubu’s ongoing economic and governance reforms aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable growth, improved infrastructure, enhanced security, job creation and long-term prosperity.

According to him, although the reforms may require patience and sacrifice, they remain necessary steps toward restoring economic stability, strengthening institutions and securing a better future for coming generations.

Yilwatda expressed confidence that Nigeria would emerge stronger, more resilient and economically competitive under Tinubu’s leadership.

He further urged Nigerians to use the Eid celebration to pray for the peace, unity, security and progress of the country, as well as divine wisdom and guidance for leaders at all levels.

The APC national chairman prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the sacrifices, prayers and acts of worship of the faithful and bless families across the country with peace, joy, good health and prosperity.

He wished Muslims in Nigeria and around the world a peaceful, memorable and fulfilling Eid el-Kabir celebration.
