The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday qualified for the final of the Unity Cup after defeating Zimbabwe national football team 2-0 in London.
Nigeria dominated the encounter from start to finish, with forward Femi Azeez emerging the hero of the night after scoring both goals to secure victory for the Super Eagles.
The Nigerian side maintained control for most of the match, frustrating Zimbabwe’s attempts to stage a comeback as they comfortably protected their two-goal advantage.
Azeez’s impressive brace proved decisive for Nigeria in the encounter, with the attacker delivering a clinical performance in front of goal.
Late in the game, the coaching crew introduced fresh legs as Philip Otele and Samson Tijani were substituted for Tosin Oyedokun and Owen Oseni in the 77th minute.
With the victory, Nigeria moves into the final of the Unity Cup, boosting confidence within the squad as the team continues preparations for upcoming international competitions.
