Tinubu drops powerful verdict on Abiodun’s performance in Ogun

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on his birthday, commending his administration’s developmental strides and people-oriented governance approach in the state.

In a message issued on Thursday ahead of the governor’s birthday on May 29, Tinubu noted that the occasion coincides with Abiodun’s seventh year in office, describing his leadership as impactful and progressive.

The President praised the governor’s implementation of the “Building Our Future Together” Agenda, which he said is anchored on critical pillars such as infrastructure development, social welfare, education, youth empowerment, job creation, and agriculture.

Tinubu particularly lauded the Ogun governor for driving infrastructural transformation across the state, including the construction of a modern airport and the establishment of an airline, as well as the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and electric vehicles in the transportation sector.

According to the President, Abiodun’s administration has also recorded notable improvements in healthcare delivery, access to education, and investment promotion, all of which have enhanced governance standards in Ogun State.

He further acknowledged the governor’s efforts in strengthening the state’s industrialisation drive and improving the ease of doing business, saying the initiatives align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.

“From transforming the state’s infrastructure, including the construction of a modern airport and the establishment of an airline, to adopting CNG and electric vehicles for transportation, expanding healthcare, improving access to education, and creating an enabling environment for investment, Prince Abiodun has significantly elevated the standard of governance in Ogun State,” the President stated.

Tinubu wished the governor good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve Ogun State and the nation.

“As the Governor celebrates this special occasion, I join his family, friends, and the good people of Ogun State to wish him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve his state and the nation,” he added.
