Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has challenged the Nigeria’s security chiefs to tackle terrorism or step down from office.

While speaking in a video shared by the church’s official page, Adeboye expressed his deep concern over the state of the nation and the growth of insecurity in the country. He called on the government to act swiftly, giving the security chiefs a 90-day ultimatum to restore balance and safety.

“If I were asked to make suggestions, I would say quietly to our government, move fast. And tell our security chiefs, get rid of these terrorists within 90 days, or resign. When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists, they should eliminate their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be,” he stated.

Adeboye’s statement comes amid growing public concern over insecurity following recent kidnappings, and abductions in different parts of the country.
