Atiku’s media aide, Paul Ibe, has challenged Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho to reveal the politicians he claims are backing the kidnappers of Oyo schoolchildren, urging security agencies to summon him to provide names.

Ibe made the appeal on X on Thursday, arguing that if Igboho possesses information that could help identify the kidnappers, security agencies should engage him to assist in rescuing the pupils and teachers.

“Since Sunday Igboho claims to know those behind the abduction of students and teachers in Oriire, Oyo State, the DSS and other security agencies need to invite him to release those names to them,” Ibe wrote.

The aide also questioned the Federal Government’s response to the abduction of more than 50 schoolchildren in Mussa, Borno State, on May 15, asking why the Tinubu administration had not shown the same urgency as in Oyo.

“Every option should be on the table to fast-track the safe release of the school children and teachers. Why is the government silent over the Borno abduction? Are those children not Nigerians?” he added.

Ibe criticised what he described as a reactive approach to insecurity, demanding clarity on when forest guards and other preventive measures will be deployed in vulnerable states.

The appeal comes amid ongoing efforts by federal and state security agencies to secure the release of pupils and teachers abducted from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
