Nkem Owoh dismisses claims of producers choosing fame over talent

Nollywood veteran, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, has dismissed claims and assumptions that producers priortise social media fame over talent when casting actors.

The 71-year-old actor, while speaking on the Selah Meditate podcast, explained that talented actors should not feel threatened by such claims. Owoh also argued that the possibilities of such happening in the entertainment industry is low, stressing that social media-fame can never replace real talent.

“I don’t think social-media fame is replacing real talent. It can’t. There is no way social media-fame can replace real talent,” he stated.
