Ethiopia’s PM, Zambia’s President, others to be honoured at 100 Most Notable Africans Summit in Morocco

Organised by the Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation and the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa in collaboration with partners, the annual gathering has emerged as one of Africa's leading platforms for celebrating excellence, driving innovation and economic growth, strengthening cross-border partnerships and promoting sustainable development.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, and former Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, are among the distinguished African leaders and personalities set to be honoured at the 2026 edition of the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit in Marrakech, Morocco.
The organisers of the prestigious event announced that the summit will be held from June 26 to June 28, 2026, at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Marrakech and the Mövenpick Hotel, Boulevard Mohamed VI, Marrakech, following heightened interest and growing participation from leaders, investors, diplomats, and changemakers across the continent and beyond.

According to the Project Director for Africa, Amb. Dr. Kingsley Amafibe, preparations are in full swing for what promises to be a landmark edition, with many awardees, delegates, and strategic partners already confirming their participation.
Among the prominent personalities listed for recognition in 2026 are Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali; Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema; former Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma; His Royal Highness Vho-Midiavhathu Prince Kennedy Tshivhase, Head of the Tshivhase Traditional Council and Paramount Ruler of the Tshivhase Dynasty in South Africa; Paul T. Tungwarara, Presidential Investment Advisor to the Government of Zimbabwe; and Kudakwashe Tagwirei, Chief Executive Officer of Sakunda Holdings, Zimbabwe.
Others to be honoured include Dr. Asu Kunemofa, Director of Finance and Accounts at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nigeria; Dr. Sindiswa Mzamo, Global President of the Circle of Global Business Women, Lesotho; Zama Phakathi, Managing Director of Splendid Group, South Africa; Dr. Tendai Mhizha, Group Chief Executive Officer of Research Bureau International and Integra Africa, Zimbabwe; and Levi Maluvele, Founder and Creative Director of Fancy Africa, Mozambique.
The honours list also features Janet Osei-Boadi of Ghana; Abbas Devjani of Comoros; Ambassador Manasseh Mutfwang of Nigeria; Manji Obadiah; Imane El Rhalete, Chief Executive Officer of IRGT Consulting, Morocco; and Lugumi Saidi, Chief Executive Officer of Lugumi Enterprises Limited, Tanzania.
Also expected at the summit are Yassin El Moussi of Morocco; Mohammed Tijjani Sabiu of Nigeria; Mohammed Kabbaj, Secretary-General of Al Ihssane Association, Morocco; Engr. Dr. Mncedisi Dube, Group Chairman of River Valley Group, Zimbabwe; Amb. Dr. Sara Abdul, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Niger Green Farms; Eze Samuel, Chief Executive Officer of LuxuryPrime Real Estate Nigeria; Benjelloun Benkacem, Chief Executive Officer of Amandes et Miel, Morocco; and Zarinah Tlale of Uganda.
Distinguished continental figures and notable personalities listed for recognition include Tanzanian music star Juma Jux; actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele; Nigerian technology entrepreneur Shola Akinlade; Zimbabwean businessman Emmanuel A. Fundira; former President of Afreximbank, Prof. Benedict Oramah; Mr. Reginald Max, Senior Advisor at the Trade and Development Bank Group, Kenya; Dr. Adaora Onyechere; Amb. Canon Otto; Prof. Hamid El Amri, Professor of Higher Education, Kingdom of Morocco; Engr. Samuel Alabi, Chief Executive Officer of Seven Oceans Oil and Gas Limited, Nigeria; and the International Vaccine Institute.
Speaking on the significance of the summit, Amb. Amafibe noted that previous editions had facilitated strategic partnerships, investment opportunities, and collaborations that continue to shape Africa’s leadership and business ecosystem.
He added that the 2026 gathering in Marrakech is expected to attract some of Africa’s most influential voices for high-level discussions, investment networking, leadership dialogues, and the highly anticipated 100 Most Notable Africans Awards.
