Zamfara vows intensified action against bandits after death of 3 policemen

The Zamfara Government has reiterated its resolve to continue working with security agencies to rid the state of banditry and all other forms of criminality following recent death of three police officers in the line of duty.
The three policemen died from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) planted by bandit terrorists along the Anka-Bagega road in Anka Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking at the funeral prayers of the deceased officers, the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Malam Abubakar Nakwada, expressed regret over their death.
However, the SSG who was accompanied by a high-powered state government delegation to the funeral prayers for the deceased said the death of the officers will only encourage the state to firm up its battle against bandits.
“This tragic incident will not make us relent; it only emboldens us. We will intensify our efforts, and victory is assured, In-Sha-Allah,” he stated.
The prayers were led by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, at the Police Command Headquarters, Gusau, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The SSG conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the government and people of the state to the Inspector-General of Police, the Zamfara Police Command, the bereaved families, and the entire police community.
He prayed to Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and to give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing continued support to the families of the fallen heroes.
Nakwada further reiterated the government’s resolve to continue working with security agencies to rid the state of banditry and all other forms of criminality.
