Ivy Ifeoma, wife of popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, has warned against the recent trend of comparing pregnancy journeys and shaming women.
While speaking on the topic via her Instagram page, Ivy crtiticised people who body same women for not looking their best during their pregnancy journey.
She explained that comparing women because of how they look while pregnant is dangerous, noting that every woman is different. Ivy also spoke about certain factors that affect appearance during pregnancy, noting that the health of the man plays a huge role too.
”Pregnancy is not a joke. It’s a life or death situation, literally, some struggle. What matters is that they’re both bringing life. No two women are the same, not even twins and no two bodies are the same! A lot of factors affect how a woman’s pregnancy will be:- Genetics – Quality of life – Quality of the sperm – Nutrition – Hormones – Mental/ emotional health -The condition of the physical vessel And so on So yes, you can affect the way your woman carries too! !! STOP SHAMING PREGNANT WOMEN !!,” she wrote.
