Nigerian content creator, Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi, popularly known as Officer Woos, has denied claims that he announced the death of his colleague, Broda Shaggy.

The denial followed a viral post by an X user, @Ghost91on, who claimed that Officer Woos had announced Broda Shaggy’s death on Instagram.

The blogger had shared a photo of Broda Shaggy and wrote: “Officer Woos just announced the passed away of his brother Broda Shaggi vis his IG page. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

Reacting to the post, Officer Woos shared a screenshot of the claim on his Instagram story and described it as “false.”

His legal representatives, Versed Attorneys, also issued a statement denying the claim and warning those behind the publication.

“We act as Solicitors to Mr. Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi alias ‘Officer Woos,’ a respected content creator and public figure, and write this statement in response to false and malicious publications currently circulating on social media, particularly X, formerly Twitter,” the statement read.

“It has come to our client’s attention that certain unverified and anonymous social media pages have published claims alleging that our client publicly announced the death of a close colleague on his official page.

“Our client has never announced the death of any colleague, friend or associate on any of his platforms. These publications are entirely manufactured and constitute a deliberate attempt to misinform the public.”

Officer Woos also threatened legal action against individuals responsible for spreading the false report.

The rumour comes three months after Broda Shaggy was reportedly shot while filming at Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun State in March 2026.

Broda Shaggy has not publicly addressed the incident since then.
