Singer Kehinde Adegbodu breaks silence on ‘spiritual attack’, injuries

Nigerian singer Kehinde Adegbodu has dismissed rumours that he is battling a spiritual attack after fans raised concerns over visible injuries on his face and hand.

The singer, one half of the Adegbodu Twins, said the injuries came from a fire accident at his family residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Kehinde made the clarification in a video shared on the Adegbodu Twins’ fan page on Wednesday evening, following growing speculation about his condition after he appeared in public with injuries.

He said he decided to speak because people had started giving the incident a different meaning.

According to him, the accident happened about a week ago, but he chose not to post it online because it was not something to celebrate.

“I’m making this video to address the incident that happened about a week ago. This is to clarify that I’m medically okay. There’s nothing wrong with me, I’m very okay,” he said.

“But I had a fire accident at home. I didn’t post it online because it’s not a thing of celebration.”

The singer said the injuries affected his left hand, lips and face, but insisted that he was recovering well.

“Just that people got to see the injury on my body during a public appearance, and it’s already healing. Although it’s not that terrible, it affected my left hand, my lips and my face,” he said.

Kehinde also rejected claims that the incident had anything to do with spiritual attack.

“It was rumoured that I was attacked spiritually. Please, I’m not battling any form of spiritual attacks. It is just a fire accident,” he said.

The singer, however, asked fans and members of the public to remember him in their prayers.

“All I need from you is prayer. May God help me to overcome every seen and unseen spiritual battle,” he added.

His clarification has now put to rest the speculation surrounding the injuries that recently sparked concern among his fans.
