What Pete Edochie said about Alexx Ekubo

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has paid a heartfelt tribute to late actor Alexx Ekubo, reflecting on his relationship with the late actor while he was alive.

Edochie, in a recent video, revealed that he met Alexx only three times, but each encounter was memorable. He noted that the news of his passing made him realise the finality of death, revealing that Alexx was already making significant plans for his upcoming 80th birthday celebration.

He spoke about Alexx’s impact, stating that he left a positive mark on the people he met and the Nollywood industry at large.

“Alexx Ekubo came, he saw, and he left an indelible impression. I met him three times. On the first occasion, he arrived at my hotel with a big cow and a group of Ogene drummers to invite me to an event. I was told he had big plans for my 80th birthday celebration next year, but unfortunately, he is gone. IK Ogbonna proved himself a true friend, both in life and in death,” he stated.
