He noted that he only used Peller's name to buttress his point, adding that people are taking his words out of context.

Nigerian singer and rapper Oludemilade Martin Alejo, popularly known as YCee has reacted to the criticism and backlash he received for his ‘olodo uprising’ statement.

The rapper, while speaking during an interview with Cool FM, maintained that he owes no one an apology. He noted that he only used Peller’s name to buttress his point, adding that people are taking his words out of context.

YCee also noted that his statement was a call to people who are tired of brain-rot content. He added that more intelligent people should be given platforms and avenues to speak.

“Some people are saying I shouldn’t have called Peller’s name, but I said what I said. If you feel offended, you should check yourself. A lot of people are also taking what I said out of context. The olodo uprising is even worse than I thought because there are so many people coming out to defend it. My call is to people that are tired of brain-rot contents. There is no reason why intelligent people cannot be streamers or content creators,” he stated.
