Former Liverpool manager, Jürgen Klopp, has confirmed that he is ready to take over as Germany’s national team coach.
The position became vacant after Julian Nagelsmann stepped down following Germany’s disappointing performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking in New York while working as a television pundit, Klopp revealed that the German Football Federation had contacted him about the job.
According to Klopp, he left Liverpool two years ago because he felt exhausted and needed a break from football management. However, he now feels refreshed and ready to return to the dugout.
“I stopped at Liverpool because I no longer had the energy to continue. Since then, I have recharged and I am ready again,” Klopp said.
If appointed, Klopp will take charge of Germany as they begin preparations for future international competitions. His arrival would mark a return to management after spending the past two years away from coaching.
