“I sleep cell for almost four days. It has never happened to me before in my life,” Peller said in a post shared in pidgin English.

TikTok personality Habeeb Peller Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has opened up on his experience in police custody, revealing that he spent nearly four days in a cell without food or a bath.

Peller, who was released on bail, shared details of the ordeal on his Snapchat page, describing the detention as one of the most difficult experiences of his life.

The social media personality said the experience changed his perspective on life and relationships, adding that it taught him patience even when provoked.

“I sleep cell for almost four days. It has never happened to me before in my life,” Peller said in a post shared in pidgin English.

According to him, he felt he was being treated unfairly but believed his release was through divine intervention.

“They wan wicked me, na God save me,” he said.

Peller also revealed that he avoided food and personal care during his detention.

“I no chop for four good days, I no bath,” he said.

The influencer said the experience made him realise the importance of having genuine people around him, adding that people only understand who truly supports them during difficult moments.

He also joked about being given the nickname “001” by fellow inmates, saying the experience brought some unexpected moments despite the hardship.

“People wey dey cell talk say u be our 001 now,” he said.

Following his release, Peller said his immediate focus is on his upcoming wedding, after which he plans to leave Nigeria.

The content creator was arrested after an incident on July 2, 2026, along the Coastal Road in Lekki, Lagos.

He was later arraigned before a Lagos magistrate’s court on allegations including resisting police officers, obstruction of police duties, conspiracy to commit a felony, and conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace.

Peller pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the court granted him bail in the sum of N500,000.
