LabRad Diagnostics Center reacts to national award nomination

LabRad Diagnostics Centre has welcomed its nomination for Radiology Service Provider of the Year at the 12th Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Awards (NHEA) 2026, describing the recognition as a reflection of the dedication and professionalism of its team.

Reacting to the nomination, the Medical Director of the Owerri-based diagnostic centre, Dr. Chinekwu Anyanwu, said the recognition underscores the commitment of the organisation’s clinical and support staff to delivering quality diagnostic services.

“This nomination reflects the dedication, professionalism, and commitment our clinical and support teams demonstrate daily,” Anyanwu said.

The nomination recognizes LabRad’s diagnostic imaging services, including its 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and 160-slice Computed Tomography (CT) scan capabilities, as well as its contribution to healthcare delivery in Owerri and Imo State.

Also reacting, the centre’s General Manager, Chitoo Ikedionu, described the nomination as a testament to the collective efforts of the entire workforce.

“This is a recognition of the collective efforts of the entire LabRad team,” Ikedionu said.

She thanked the centre’s patients, referring physicians and healthcare partners for their continued confidence in the facility, noting that their support has played a significant role in LabRad’s growth.

The Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Awards (NHEA) 2026, themed “Innovation, Local Manufacturing and Digital Transformation in Healthcare,” recognises outstanding hospitals, diagnostic centres and healthcare professionals that have contributed to advancing healthcare delivery across Nigeria.

LabRad Diagnostics Centre said the nomination would inspire it to continue investing in patient-centred healthcare services, including its comprehensive health check-up packages for residents of Owerri and surrounding communities.
