Liverpool have stepped up their efforts to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola this summer.
Reports indicate that Liverpool recently held fresh talks with PSG about a possible transfer for the 23-year-old French international.
Barcola is believed to be open to leaving PSG in search of more regular playing time. Personal terms are not expected to be a problem if Liverpool and PSG can agree on a transfer fee.
Liverpool have been monitoring Barcola for some time, and the winger is seen as a player who fits the attacking style of new manager Andoni Iraola. The club is also looking to strengthen its attack as it plans for the future.
Since joining PSG, Barcola has scored 39 goals and provided 37 assists in 152 appearances. He has also impressed for France, scoring important goals at international level.
Despite his strong performances, Barcola started only 21 of PSG’s 38 league matches last season, leading to speculation that he wants a new challenge. A move to the Premier League could offer him more regular football and help him continue his development.
Liverpool’s interest has increased after facing difficulties in their pursuit of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. Although no agreement has been reached yet, the club remains optimistic about making more signings before the transfer window closes.
Discussions between Liverpool and PSG are expected to continue in the coming days as the Reds explore the possibility of bringing Barcola to Anfield.
