BlueDutch has recorded another industry milestone as its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Candace Ebhomielen, received the ELOY Award for Excellence in Real Estate and Construction in recognition of her contributions to Nigeria’s property sector.
The recognition reflects Ebhomielen’s leadership in driving residential development, infrastructure delivery, and community-focused real estate projects through BlueDutch, which has continued expanding its footprint across multiple states in Nigeria.
Speaking on her approach to real estate development, Ebhomielen said every project should be driven by purpose rather than simply the desire to build.
“You have to know why you are building,” she said. “If the foundation of your work is not clear, everything else becomes difficult to sustain.”
Under her leadership, BlueDutch has recorded several milestones, including maintaining a client allocation success rate of more than 95 per cent and zero litigation through meticulous land verification processes and client-first policies. The company has also expanded its operations into Ogun and Edo states while extending targeted outreach to Abuja, Enugu, and other major cities across Africa.
BlueDutch’s portfolio has continued to grow through projects such as Bloom Fountain Mini Estate in Lagos; Ivory City, Ilado, Ogun State; and Edo Vidia Homes and Park, a premium luxury serviced mixed-use estate development in the heart of Benin City, Edo State, comprising serviced plots and hundreds of housing units. The company has also undertaken infrastructure works, including road construction and culvert development in Ogun State, while delivering more than 200 housing units across Lagos and Edo State. These projects have reinforced the company’s growing reputation for delivering quality residential developments, strategic infrastructure, and long-term community value.
Beyond real estate, Ebhomielen has also contributed to leadership and talent development. She became the first female mentor at the Boy Code Bootcamp, where she mentored more than 100 aspiring technology professionals drawn from across West Africa.
Industry stakeholders say the increasing recognition of leaders driving quality housing delivery and sustainable community development reflects the growing emphasis on professionalism, innovation, and long-term value creation within Nigeria’s evolving real estate sector.
BlueDutch said it remains committed to delivering residential developments that combine quality construction, strategic locations, and sustainable infrastructure while continuing to strengthen confidence in Nigeria’s real estate industry through projects that create lasting value for homeowners, investors, and communities.
