British-Nigerian boxing icon, Anthony Joshua has built a staggering financial empire worth more than ₦309 billion, with new figures revealing the scale of the boxer’s wealth ahead of his return to the ring.

Joshua’s company, Sparta Promotions Ltd, is valued at £166.06 million, which converts to approximately ₦309.8 billion based on the current official pound-to-naira exchange rate.

The latest accounts for the company, covering the year ending March 2025, showed that Joshua’s business recorded a turnover of £41.5 million and a pre-tax profit of £35.7 million after expenses.

Despite the huge earnings, the British-Nigerian boxing star did not take any dividends from the company during the period, The Sun revealed.

The figures revealed that Sparta Promotions held about £36.3 million in cash reserves, worth roughly ₦67.7 billion, alongside £8.8 million in investments, valued at about ₦16.4 billion in naira terms.

Joshua’s financial growth comes as he prepares for his boxing comeback against Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia next Saturday.

The 36-year-old former unified heavyweight champion has remained one of boxing’s biggest commercial figures since winning Olympic gold in 2012 and later becoming a two-time heavyweight world champion.

His latest accounts, however, were recorded before the tragic car crash in Nigeria last December that claimed the lives of two of his close friends.

Joshua survived the accident and was taken to hospital with injuries following the incident.

The boxer’s return to action against Prenga is expected to mark the beginning of his attempt to rebuild momentum after a period away from the ring.

Joshua’s comeback has also renewed speculation over a long-awaited showdown with fellow British heavyweight Tyson Fury, with fans still hoping to see the two former champions meet inside the ring.
