Veteran Nollywood actress and fitness enthusiast Kate Henshaw has marked her 55th birthday with a deeply personal message reflecting on life’s triumphs, trials and the enduring grace that has sustained her through the years.
The award-winning actress took to her Instagram page on Saturday to celebrate the milestone, describing her journey as one shaped by love, loss, lessons and resilience.
“I have lived. I have loved. I have lost. I have learned. I have fallen. I have risen. And through it all, I have been carried by GRACE,” Henshaw wrote.
Expressing gratitude as she turned 55, the actress thanked God for every phase of her life, saying each chapter had contributed to the woman she has become.
“As I step into another year, my heart has just two words: THANK YOU.
“Thank You to the King of Kings, my Heavenly Father, for every chapter. For every lesson. For every blessing—seen and unseen. And above all, for the precious loan of life,” she said.
Declaring the beginning of a new chapter, Henshaw described herself as “quietly grateful, deeply blessed and completely present.”
Her birthday message drew an outpouring of love and admiration from colleagues, friends and fans across the entertainment industry, many of whom celebrated not only her new age but also her timeless elegance and influence.
Former football star’s wife, Amara Kanu, hailed her as the “one and only Queen K8 GR8,” while actress Chizzy Alichi playfully questioned her age, writing, “55 where? Happy birthday, my ageless queen.”
Singer Peter Okoye (Mr P) simply celebrated the actress with, “Happy Birthday,” accompanied by heart and fire emojis.
Actress ChaCha Eke described Henshaw as “Vintage Kate,” while Adunni Ade affectionately wrote, “Fifty-fioneeee! Happy Birthday Sis.”
Other celebrities, including Uche Elendu, Faithia Williams, Sharon Francis, Queen Wokoma, Beverly Naya, KieKie and Khafi Kareem, also flooded the comment section with warm wishes, prayers and tributes.
Khafi described Henshaw as “a source of love, light and inspiration,” praying that her 55th year would be her best yet.
Widely regarded as one of Nollywood’s most respected actresses, Henshaw has enjoyed a career spanning more than three decades, earning acclaim for her versatility, fitness advocacy and outspoken views on social issues.
