Do2dtun slams parents using children as pawns in custody battles

Nigerian media personality Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, popularly known as Do2dtun, has spoken up against weaponising children during custody battles.

While speaking via his X handle, the hypeman explained that treating children as possessions during separation and custody disputes is an harmful practice.

Do2dtun stated that parents should place their children’s wellbeing over spousal misunderstandings, adding that using children to punish an ex-partner crosses a line

“The idea of treating children like a possession or property, or as if you own them in a fight, can eventually become an ultimate undoing. They belong to both parties and have equal rights and responsibilities. One party is allowed to be angry if the other uses them as a pawn or refuses to show up. Do everything cos you want them to be better, not because you want them to love you only or choose you,” he stated.
