Commonwealth Games: Edidiong Joseph strikes gold as Nigerian sprinters progress

Team Nigeria continued its impressive campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Monday, recording another major success as Edidiong Joseph claimed the gold medal in the men’s 71kg weightlifting event, while sprinters Favour Ashe and Adekalu Fakorede qualified for the semi finals of the men’s 100m.
