UCB Bout: Ghanaian Boxer Arrives Lagos

Ghana’s Eric Kwardey, has arrived Lagos, Nigeria, for the Might Is Right Boxing Tourney slated for Sunday at the Blue Roof of the Lagos Television premises.

The boxing tourney, approved by the Universal Boxing Council, is organised by Freels And Threels in conjunction with the Lagos Television.

The Ghanaian, who will trade punches with Nigeria’s National Super Middleweight champion, Mojeed Okedara from Osun State, held his weigh-in early today.

Aside from the main bout, eight other boxers will trade punches in the supporting bouts in different categories.

The National Light Welterweight champion, Sunday Ajayi, will defend his title against Sadiq Ahmed in a 12-round bout, while Akeem Dodo will stand toe to toe with Sule Olagbade in an eight-round National Welterweight challenge.

Saheed Olayiwola will slug it out with Kazeem Ariyo in an eight-round National Light Welterweight challenge, while Ghana-based Kazeem Owoiya will exchange punches with Nureni Alabi in a six-round Super Bantamweight challenge.
