The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) took its anti-sexual harassment campaign to the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) today, equipping employees with crucial preventive strategies against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the workplace.

Addressing participants, DSVA’s Executive Secretary, Mrs. Titilola Vivour Adeniyi, stressed the urgency of fostering safe work environments where all employees, regardless of gender, could operate free from intimidation and abuse.

Backing the initiative, LASWA’s General Manager, Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, urged employees to report any form of harassment and commit to upholding workplace dignity.

With over 100 participants in attendance, the session, led by Ms. Bunmi Orekoya, DSVA’s Head of Alternative Dispute Resolution, tackled misconceptions about sexual harassment, dissected its impact, and laid out clear prevention tactics.

A lively Q&A segment saw attendees dive deeper into workplace harassment concerns, sparking engaging discussions.

To reinforce the message, DSVA distributed awareness materials, including details of its toll-free helpline, 08000-333-333, for victims seeking support.
