Tragedy struck in Abuja as Retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), David Shikfu Parradang, was brutally killed by kidnappers after being trailed from a bank.

Sources told Zagzola Makama, a counter insurgency expert revealed that the assailants abducted Parradang in the early hours of Tuesday in Area 1, dispossessing him of the cash he had just withdrawn before taking his life.

The shocking incident has reignited fears over rising insecurity in the Federal Capital Territory, where kidnappings and targeted attacks have surged.

Parradang, who dedicated over 30 years to the NIS, served in key postings across Nigeria, including Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and the FCT.

A distinguished officer, he was a recipient of the prestigious Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) honour and a graduate of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).

Security agencies have launched an intensive investigation to unravel the circumstances of his abduction and bring his killers to justice.
