Robbers Raid Hospital, Rob Medical Director
Men of the Festac Police Station in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have arrested a robbery suspect.
P.M.NEWS learnt that the suspect with others at large attacked El-Bethel Hospital, located at Olotu in Festac area and robbed the medical director of the hospital and other staff.
Following a tip off from members of the public, the police traced the suspect to a hideout at Ijegun area where suspect was arrested.
During interrogation, the suspect allegedly confessed to taking part in the robbery at El-Bethel Hospital.
Items recovered from the suspects include eight handsets, one laptop computer, a wallet containing ATM cards, drivers licence and other valuable documents belonging to the Medical Director.
The case, P.M.NEWS learnt, has been transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Samuel Jinadu(DSP), said the police have launched a manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang and promised that the police will do everything possible to track down the gang members wherever they may be.
“We have commence a full scale investigation into the case and I assure you, we will track other members of the gang wherever they are,†he said.
