Rufai Football Clinic Thrills Lagos Youths

Lagos Youth football players taking part in the Peter Rufai’s Staruf Sports Development organised Milo Football Clinic could not hide their excitement with the opportunity of participating in the event.

The players, who were more than 2,000, have stormed Campos Stadium, Lagos Island as early as 7a.m. yesterday to be part of the Lagos leg of the football clinic organised by the former Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Rufai, popularly called Dodo Mayana, to equip grassroot coaches and players with the modern trend in world football.

The atmosphere in the stadium was frenzy with the players who jam packedd the Campos Stadium with their milo coloured jersies.

Thirty grassroots coaches were part of the exercise which saw them going through scientific method of handling players on the field of play with Rufai.

Yesterday’s event focused on screening of the 2000 players to 500. The lucky ones will then undergo drilling and training today and tomorrow with Dodo Mayama at the end of which they will be pruned down to 32.

The clinic ends on Saturday.
