Nollywood actress and producer Peggy Ovire has expressed her concern over the erosion of family values in today’s society.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress reminisced about a time when individuals were more conscious of their actions and deeply afraid of disappointing their parents, teachers, and communities.
She noted that people were once more mindful of their words and behavior in public, a contrast to what she perceives as a decline in moral standards today.
Ovire, who is married to fellow actor Frederick Leonard, also extended support to women who, despite being imperfect, still uphold accountability and strong values. She offered words of encouragement, praying that such individuals continue to succeed in their endeavors.
“I Miss the Days when we held on to Family Values, So Afraid to disappoint our Parents, Teachers, Friends & community. A time where we were very mindful of the things we Say or Do in public,” she wrote.
