Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Barebari, mother of Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, is dead.
An impeccable family source confirmed that she passed on in the early hours of Sunday, after a brief illness.
A close associate of the family who spoke with our Correspondent described Hajiya Safara’u as, “a pillar of support and a mother to all, whose kindness and wisdom will be deeply missed.
“She lived a life of humility and generosity, always ensuring that everyone around her is cared for.”
Other prominent children of Hajiya Safara’u are the Village Head of Radda, Alhaji Kabir Umar Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umar Radda, the former wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
Sympathizers are trooping in to commiserate with her family members as at the time of filling this report.
