Burna Boy reveals new name

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has officially changed his name.

The Grammy-winning singer made the announcement on his Instagram and Twitter pages, revealing his new name as Jean Bena Dieudonne.

Alongside the revelation, he also promoted his latest song, writing:

“My name is now Jean Bena Dieudonne. 4 Kampe II out now.”

The announcement sparked mixed reactions from fans and social media users. While some questioned his decision, others poked fun at the change.

One user, Phumzie, asked, “And your nationality? Has it changed?”

Another, Haier, dismissed it, saying, “Na you sabi.”

Some fans found humor in the name, with Wallop commenting, “This one go hard to pronounce oh,” while another, Big Ray, joked, “If you like, call yourself Davido.”

Others speculated about the timing of the change, with __3y writing, “Senior man, how many times you go change this your big name?” and Number One adding, “As Davido signed a new artist, you suddenly remember you want to change name.”
