Mercy Aigbe takes extra precaution at movie premiere after losing phones

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is clearly not taking any chances after losing two phones at an event last month.

The movie star, living up to the popular saying “once bitten, twice shy,” was recently spotted guarding her gadgets with extra care at a colleague’s movie premiere.

Aigbe attended the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s film Owambe Thieves, where she was captured in a now-viral video tucking her two phones safely into her bra—drawing laughter and reactions from fans and fellow celebrities.

The hilarious clip triggered reactions online.

Actress Toyin Abraham teased, “Lol. We will still Mercy Aigbe you,” while internet personality Bobrisky chimed in, “My sis.” Comedienne Kiekie added, “E reach o,” showing solidarity with Aigbe’s protective move.

Some fans also joined in on the commentary. One user, @Akanbitheduke, joked, “This time na you gan gan dem go steal,” while another, @They.callmebarbie, reassured her, “Affliction shall not rise again.”

Another user, @Officialbukky_majek, simply echoed the popular phrase, “Once bitten, twice shy.”
