Headies awards announces music performers for next edition

The Headies Awards has announced Shallipopi,  Chike, Flavour as star performers for the upcoming awards event.

The 17th edition of the headies set for the 27th of April is making a return to Nigeria after hosting the last two editions in the United States.

The list of performing acts includes Shallipopi who had 6 nominations for different categories including the Next Rated artist category.

Chike, a previous Headies award winner will also be performing at the award event holding at a popular event center in Lagos. Other artists like Qinq Madi, Nasboi, and veteran singer Flavour are also set to perform at the event.

The headies is set to hold two events this year to balance the out editions with the year missed.

The Headies Executive,  Mr Ayo Animashaun also spoke up concerning the reduced support for the award event stating that most artists have their eyes set on the Grammy awards now.

The award event was recently premiered and welcomed back to Nigeria, after 2 years. The event was hosted by the United States Consular General.
