Motorcycle Rider Robs Woman With Fake Gun

A 26-year-old commercial motorcyclist(okada rider) is in police net for allegedly robbing a woman with a fake gun at Iju –Ishaga, a suburb of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.

P.M.NEWS learnt that the man, a native of Idanre, Ondo State, dispossessed the woman of her belonging after he deceived the woman that his motorbike was faulty.

The suspect had carried the lady from Afrika Shrine, Agidingbi, Lagos, during the last Felabration festival, en route Akute. On getting to Iju-Ishaga, he stopped, complaining that the motorbike had developed a fault.

He confessed: “During the last Felabration ceremony, I picked her from Afrika Shrine to Iju –Ishaga. On getting there, I told her that there was a problem with my Okada.

“I later asked her to come down so that I can fix the fault. When I was through, she said that she could not wait at that place except I take her to her destination.”

Continuing, he said: “We started dragging the issue my slippers with a nylon bag to make it look like a gun and robbed the woman of her two phones, wrist watch, and three pairs of shoes.

The case was reported at Alausa Police Divisional Headquarters from where it was later transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
