Emeka Stanley Chijioke, Uloaku Iweka honored as face of Igbo culture 2023
In a grand and colorful celebration of tradition and cultural heritage, Prince Emeka Stanley Chijioke Iweka (Idi Ezennia) and his amiable wife, Chief Mercedes Uloaku Iweka (Iyom Ugodibeze) of the Iweka Royal Dynasty of Obosi, Anambra State, were bestowed with the prestigious Face of Igbo Culture 2023 award.
The honor was conferred under the distinguished auspices of the Ezeudo Council of Ndieze, Lagos State, led by the Eze Ndigbo na Isolo and Chairman, Ezeudo Council – Eze Ikem W. Agbasi.
Stemming from a rich royal heritage and a lineage of monarchs, it comes as no surprise that this power couple continue to walk in the footsteps of their illustrious progenitors—upholding the values, traditions, and legacies of the Igbo people with grace and dignity.
During his acceptance speech, Prince Emeka Iweka reflected on the importance of cultural preservation with the words:
“East or West, Home is Home”,
a poignant reminder to all Igbos and Africans alike never to forget their roots or let positive cultural values and traditions fade into obscurity.
