HAJJ 2011: Lagos Doles Out 175 Saudi Riyal, Free Food To Muslim Pilgrims
Determined to give succor to the state pilgrims in the holy land of Saudi Arabia, Lagos State Government is giving out 175 riyal and free foods each to Muslim pilgrims.
The State Muslim pilgrims who are currently in Minnah City to observe the final rite of this year’s pilgrimage which is the climbing of Mount Arafat would be given 100 riyal before embarking on the task on Saturday, 5 November, 2011 while the remaining 75 riyal would be collected after returning from the mountain.
In addition, the State Government has provided for the pilgrims a more comfortable accommodation at Minnah city as pilgrims would stay there for three days.
Lagos State officially commenced airlifting of 3,867 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia on 2 October, 2011.
