‘Owambe Thieves’, a Nollywood movie staring popular faces, is the highest-grossing Nollywood film for the second consecutive week.
The distributing company, FilmOne Entertainment, disclosed on its Instagram page that the movie grossed N126 million over the weekend.
It added that the movie defeated other Nigerian movies to top the box office.
Owambe Thieves starred popular Nigerian actors like Odunlade Adekola, Shola Shobowale, Eniola Ajao, Fathia Balogun, Femi Branch and so many others. The film was directed by Adeoluwa Owu.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that ‘Owambe Thieves’ tells a story about a young couple who are struggling to make ends meet but devise a plan which leads to unexpected consequences.
