Dapo Olorunyomi, the publisher of PREMIUM TIMES, has been named as one of the distinguished recipients of the 2025 Hallmarks of Labour Awards.

The prestigious ceremony, hosted by the Hallmarks of Labour Foundation (HLF), recognizes exceptional leadership and service in various fields.

Olorunyomi will receive the HLF-Christopher Kolade Award for Excellence in Leadership and Professionalism in the Media, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to media independence, accountability journalism, and ethical standards.

His leadership in building one of Nigeria’s most respected investigative newsrooms earned him the esteemed recognition.

The 2025 award ceremony, scheduled for May 3 in Lagos, will also honour other remarkable individuals, including:

– Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, with the HLF-Emeka Anyaoku Life-Time Achievement Award
– Theophilus Danjuma, Chairman of the TY Danjuma Foundation, with the HLF Life-Time Achievement Award for Exemplary Philanthropy and Charity
– Olufunmilayo Adebambo, Nigerian scientist and Professor of Animal Breeding and Genetics, for outstanding contributions to research and innovation
– Mariam Katagum, former Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, for excellence in leadership and good governance

Other notable awardees include:

– Abdullahi Ribadu, Nigerian academic and professor of Veterinary Reproduction, for advocacy and positive change in Nigeria’s university system
– Akinlolu Olujinmi, former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, for exemplary service to Nigeria’s judicial system
– Professors Adele Jinadu, Olufemi Adelowo, and Isaac Adewole, for contributions to education, medicine, and research

The Hallmarks of Labour Foundation aims to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals, inspiring younger generations to strive for excellence.

The organisers maintained that this year’s ceremony will be a celebration of remarkable achievements and contributions to various fields.
