Nigerian musician, Rema, has received a certificate of recognition from the Mayor of Boston, applauding him for bringing joy to the people of the state.
The Mayor appraised Rema for his music and his global influence while emphasizing the Joy the people get from his songs.
“In recognition of his global influence and ability to bring joy to people in Boston and beyond, we honor Rema for championing Afrobeat and promoting African culture worldwide.
“His music resonates across continents while preserving the spirit of Africa both in Boston and beyond, Rema continues to inspire by proudly representing the richness of African identity and creativity.
“On behalf of the City of Boston, we extend our sincere congratulations,” the award read.
The Mayor also added that his music carries the African spirit and has been a source of joy to the continent.
Rema has had a great start to the year 2025 as he had previously performed at Coachella and became one of the artist to headline at the Madison Square garden.
