In a video that has gone viral on social media, VDM appeared in a vehicle alongside his legal representative, human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju.

Popular social media activist Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has spoken out following his release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a video that has gone viral on social media, VDM appeared in a vehicle alongside his legal representative, human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju.

He addressed his fans and supporters regarding the circumstances of his arrest and detention.

Reacting to allegations of money laundering, VDM expressed confusion over the charges, stating he does not possess the kind of wealth linked to such crimes.

“How would they level allegations of money laundering on someone who doesn’t have money?” he asked. “I have done so many charity [projects], they wonder how. They don’t know I use debt for charity.”

Despite the controversy, VDM appeared upbeat and reassured his audience of his freedom, saying, “Anyway, we are outside, with my lawyer of course.”
