A 22-year-old trader, Shederack Danlami, was on Friday sentenced to four months in prison by a Jos Magistrates’ Court for stealing two chickens.
Magistrate Shawomi Bokkos, who presided over the case, delivered the verdict after Danlami pleaded guilty to the charges. However, the magistrate offered an alternative of a N20,000 fine for the offender.
Additionally, Bokkos ordered Danlami to compensate the complainant with N20,000.
