Fun seeking families who thronged the 2025 edition of the Inspiration FM Children’s Day Carnival at the Fun Factory in Lekki, Lagos on Saturday were treated to an exhilarating moment with abundance of entertainment and prizes.
Though the station’s annual event is characteristically fun-filled, Saturday 24 May 2025 edition was unprecedented with more entertaining programmes added and a crowd that clearly doubled the best of the previous editions.

The MD/Chief Executive Officer of Inspiration 92.3 FM and Lasgidi 90.1 FM, Mr Azubike Osumili, while commenting on the huge attendance that greeted the event during a short interview with PMNEWS said: “The crowd you see here today tells you that people realize that it’s about family. In the last two hours, you have seen family men and women trooping in with their children. You just met me discussing some world athletes with some families here.

“Our station prioritises family. It’s the family radio station in Nigeria. There is nothing more important than family. Family is everything. Maybe once in a while, once in a year, families need to gather like this to unwind, to enjoy themselves. I’ve seen great people come here today with their family members, saying today is family day.”

Despite the huge crowd, there weren’t lapses. Did the management envisage the size of the crowd witnessed? Azu explained: “We set up a team headed by the station’s Director of Programmes to make necessary research and put in place measures to ensure organization, to ensure that people don’t just pay and go but have an experience that will last them a while, and they did a good job.
“Today, families have discussed great sports personalities. We’ve discussed Okocha and so on. Families have had a lot of discussions in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. We’ve shared a lot of experiences. Next year edition is going to be bigger by God’s grace.”

Families, both adults and children participated in the numerous entertaining programmes of the day and caught fun.
Participants who won different competitions at the event were rewarded with cash and items from the organization and their sponsors.

Variety of products from sponsors were distributed to participants with winners of competitions in quiz, sports, games, dance and fashion show carting away prizes including educational materials, bicycles, household items and cash worth two million naira.

The General Manager of the Inspiration FM’s sister station, Lasgidi 90.1FM, Mr Kolade Dominate, also expressed joy at the success recorded by the event.

“The huge success of today tells you that in Inspiration FM and Lasgidi we are very particular about people. We are concerned about the welfare of the people and we are very meticulous about what we do, to see family happy.
“You can see very excited children having fun with their parents. This is an ideal situation to make family do well. It brings everybody together, the father, mother and the children together. It creates an avenue to catch fun and enjoy together. The children who constitute majority need engagements and atmosphere like this for their development,” Dominate said.
