Police Arrest Five Armed Robbery Suspects

The Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday said it had arrested five armed robbery suspects allegedly terrorising residents of the state.

The Command Public Relations Officer, Mr Samuel Jinadu, said the suspects were arrested with a locally-made single barrelled shotgun in a stationary tricycle at Jejelaiye St., Ajangbadi, Lagos, during the Eld-El-Kabir celebration.

Jinadu gave the names of the suspects as David Silas, Niyi Bolaji, Odutola Temitope, Jude Jepher and Lawal Ramoni.

The PPRO said that the suspects had made useful statements to aid the police in their investigations.

He said that the case had been transferred to State CID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigations and for possible prosecution of the suspects.
