FRSC nabs 31 traffic offenders, impounds 26 vehicles in Sallah crackdown

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has reinforced traffic violation operation in Abuja.

The action was confirmed in a statement posted on the Corps’ official X account on Thursday.

“As part of efforts to ensure the safety of road users during the Sallah festivities. Officers and Men of RS7.13 Nyanya Unit Command, led by the Unit Commander, ACC S Abdu conducted a special operation on June 4, 2025 targeting route violations, particularly by commercial tricycle operators,” the statement reads.

The Corps also revealed that the operation resulted in the arrest of traffic violators.

“Summarily, 31 offenders were apprehended following which 26 vehicles were impounded,” the statement read.

The Corps described the operation as a proactive step to ensure safety on the roads and compliance with traffic rules, especially during the high-travel season.

FRSC also encouraged motorists to obey all traffic rules during the upcoming Eid celebrations.
