In a modest studio in Nigeria, David Awoseso known in music circles as MrDave is quietly shaping the sound of gospel music for a new generation.

As a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, performer, and songwriter, David has carved out a unique space in the creative landscape where live instrumentation meets deep spiritual conviction.

Born on February 9, 1995, in Lagos State and originally from Ogun State, David’s journey into music began in the most unassuming way through the children’s guitar choir at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. What started with simple chords and early curiosity evolved into a lifelong pursuit of excellence. Over time, David picked up the piano and immersed himself in church music, learning on the job, playing during services, making mistakes, and growing through every note.

That dedication would later take root at Olabisi Onabanjo University, where he studied Mass Communication while holding several leadership roles in the Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF). It was there that Dave Music House was born not just as a name, but as a vision. Initially focused on teaching music and mentoring beginners, the venture gradually transformed into a full-fledged production outfit. David had discovered something deeper: a desire not just to perform music, but to build it from the ground up.

After university, David interned at Natialo Productions. Though not a hands-on role, the experience proved invaluable. He paid close attention to structure, workflow, and the discipline required behind the scenes. Those lessons became part of the DNA of Dave Music House Production, a studio now known for producing, mixing, and mastering high quality music for clients across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.

One of David’s standout moments came during a live ministration of Yahweh by Tunde McIver featuring the TCN Abule Egba Levites. David played the piano live, and his production work on the track caught the attention of Pastor Poju Oyemade, founder of The Covenant Nation (TCN). During a global livestream, Pastor Oyemade paused to comment, saying, “Whoever produced this song knows what he’s doing.” It was a quiet but powerful endorsement from one of the country’s most respected pastors.

Beyond the studio, David is an advocate for structure in creative spaces. Through EchoHub1, a platform he launched to educate and equip gospel creatives, he offers training and resources on everything from music business to intellectual property. He believes strongly that spiritual gifts should be matched with knowledge and discipline.

His discography includes original songs like Ire, Good and Kind, and Smile, where he serves both as artist and producer. He also produced the instrumental worship album Alone with God, and has worked with artists like Adedoyin Oseni (Elu Agogo), Ibitayo Jeje (Modupe), to mention a few.

David continues to lead and serve in ministry and continue to manage Dave Music House alongside his wife, Esther David Awoseso, founder of Confidress Fashion. Together, they represent a creative partnership rooted in purpose and vision.

His approach to music is deeply personal. He values spiritual sensitivity as much as technical excellence and often speaks about “making God smile” through every production. Whether he’s directing a live band, fine-tuning a vocal, or mentoring a young producer, David brings clarity, depth, and purpose to his craft.

While many chase trends, David Awoseso remains anchored committed to quality, driven by purpose, and guided by faith. His impact may not always come with noise, but it is unmistakable. For those who have worked with him or listened to the music he has shaped, one thing is clear: MrDave is not just producing sounds. He’s building legacy.
