President Bola Tinubu has received Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu alongside Speaker of the State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa, and members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) in his Ikoyi residence on Sunday.
This perhaps could put an end to the speculation that Tinubu and his godson the Lagos helmsman, are at loggerheads.
Tinubu has been thought by not a few Nigerians to have snubbed Sanwo-Olu by refusing to shake his hands last week at the commissioning of the Lagos-Calabar highway. He has also been alleged to have ensured the absence of the Lagos State governor at the commissioning of the Lekki free port road.
But all these speculations about a serious feud between the two may have been proved as unnecessary with the sallah homage the Governor and others paid to Tinubu.
Sanwo-Olu, during the visit, restated his support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He maintained that this was having a positive impact on Lagos and the rest of the country.
Those who were present during the visit included the leader of GAC, Prince Tajudeen Olusi; Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; APC Lagos Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; Senator Tokunbo Abiru; Senator Ganiyu Solomon; and Cardinal James Odunmbaku, among others.
